Building a successful major gift program can be overwhelming, but moving your program from Good to Great through deciding where to focus your energy for maximum return on your time is a bigger challenge.  This practical session is aimed primarily at those who have been in fundraising for a shorter time, and will explore the BIG DOZEN major gift concepts that are important to master, and critical to fundraising success.  Guy doesn’t hold back when it comes to sharing what he considers is important from his 37 years in Fundraising.  From the practical to the philosophical, from the urgent to the compelling.  Hear one man’s opinion about what you should stay focused on in major gift fundraising.  As a senior leader and practitioner, Guy will share his perspective on the top dozen practical lessons which are important to an organization’s culture and strategic perspective when it comes to raising major gifts.

Learning Outcomes:

This session will use adult learning techniques to maximize learning outcomes for participants:  understanding what the priorities should be to focus on for major gift fundraising; understanding the key best-practice major gift practicalities that are of fundamental importance to success; and understanding how to communicate the fundamentals of best practice to help build a culture of support within your organization.
